READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS prior to first use.
Your new WHIRLIWICK™ Candle Ornament will automatically turn ON when placed over a lit candle and OFF when the flame is extinguished. Generally, WHIRLIWICK™ begins operating in less than 30 seconds. Requires no batteries, no cords, simply heat!
NOTE: Lift and move WHIRLIWICK™ only by the Base when cool. The upper, rotating Decoration is removable; NEVER lift WHIRLIWICK™ by the Decoration or impede its rotation when operating.
For use on WHIRLIWICK™ jar candles. Other candle brands may cause increased soot and carbon buildup, clean the bottom of the ornament often with a disposable cloth. NEVER use WHIRLIWICK™ on multi-wick or improperly sized jar candles, damage may occur.
Warranty 30-Days: Void if ornament is disassembled, operated for periods longer than 4 hours, or flame is allowed to contact ornament.
USING YOUR NEW CANDLE ORNAMENT
STEP 1 – Candle Prep
Remove all packing material. Disconnect WHIRLIWICK™ from the candle and set aside on a flat surface, such as a table. Then remove the candle cap, check that the wick is centered and trimmed to ¼ inch.
CAUTION: Wick trimmer has sharp edges, keep away from children.
NOTE: DO NOT trim the wick too short, candle may not burn properly. DO NOT trim when candle is lit or when wax pool has not cooled.
STEP 2 – Ornament Prep
Clean or remove soot residue from the ornament bottom with a disposable cloth before each use.
STEP 3 – Candle Lighting
When lighting a new candle for the very first time, allow the candle to burn for 30 minutes. Ideal flame length should be about ¾ inch.
NOTE: Burn candle on a level, heat resistant surface. Keep wax free of debris. Avoid use in drafty areas. Discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains to avoid glass breakage.
STEP 4 – Installation
Once the candle is lit, properly center WHIRLIWICK™ over the candle. The ornament should not sit at an angle or off center with respect to the candle. Ensure that the lip of the candle is seated into the grooves of each ornament stand (Qty. 4 stands).
CAUTION: DO NOT allow the flame to directly contact any part of the ornament, not even the bottom. Remove immediately if the flame directly contacts the ornament and allow for the candle to burn without the ornament until the flame has lowered within the jar.
STEP 5 – Operation
NEVER leave ornament or candle unattended. WHIRLIWICK™ generally begins operating in less than 30 seconds; the decoration will start spinning and then after about 10 seconds the lights turn on. Operate WHIRLIWICK™ for periods of 4 hours or less.
CAUTION: If candle ornament fails to start within 1 minute or STOPS spinning for any reason, extinguish candle immediately. DO NOT resist or impede the rotation of the decoration; damage to thermal mechanics may result. DO NOT use in damp or wet areas, damage or electrical shock may be possible.
STEP 6 – Shutdown
To extinguish, blow through the side vents of the ornament. Ornament will slow and stop automatically. NEVER use candle cap to extinguish flame. Allow to cool for at least 1 hour before relighting.
CAUTION: Candle and ornament will be hot after use. DO NOT touch or move while hot.
NOTE: Ornament paint may discolor from heat.
